The Independent sexual violence advisor (ISVA) role was introduced in 2006 by the Home Office to provide continuous support, advice and help for victims and survivors of sexual violence.
Our ISVAs are trained sexual violence specialists, their main role is to provide practical and emotional support and information to victims and survivors who have reported to the police or are not sure about what to do regarding what has happened to them.
We operate two ISVA services:
Our general ISVA service is dedicated to supporting women across Oxfordshire. To find out more, see our Oxfordshire ISVA service page;
Our Oxford University ISVA service is dedicated to supporting students across the University of Oxford. To find out more, see our Oxford University ISVA service page.
