OSARCC is now recruiting volunteers.

We are currently looking for new volunteers to staff our telephone and email helplines. Full training will be provided and we look for women who are sympathetic to our principles and who are team players. We require volunteers to have a good level of English and they must be able to be involved for a minimum of 18 months. Training commences in November 2013 and runs over a series of evenings and weekends.

Oxford Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre will be running a multi-agency 'Sexual Violence Awareness Training Course' on Friday 13th September 2013 in Wallingford from 9am to 4.30pm.

The course aims to increase awareness of sexual violence and improve confidence in working with survivors of sexual violence. The course covers the following topics:

Oxford Half Marathon takes place on 13 October 2013 with a beautiful route right through the heart of historic Oxford. OSARCC is delighted to have several charity places for the event and applications are now open for runners who would like to join our team!

Our support group service will be starting a new group in July. The groups are open to any woman over the age of 18 who has experienced sexual violence and aim to provide a safe and inclusive space where survivors of sexual abuse and rape can share experiences, work towards recovery and draw on strength and support from other survivors coming to terms with similar issues.

1st - 7th June marks Volunteer's week, and is a chance for us to say THANK YOU to all of our volunteers.

OSARCC volunteers ensure that we offer our service users a continued high standard of support in all of our frontline services.  They truly are the beating heart of our organisation, and it is thanks to our volunteers both past and present that we have been able to offer support to survivors in Oxfordshire for the past 30 years.

We're on the hunt for donations to use as prizes in upcoming fundraising activities at Oxford Pride and Cowley Road Carnival.

Both these events are great opportunities for us to raise some much needed funds as well as raise awareness of the services we provide to the local community.
